This listing is for the exact shotgun in the photos. From a Nashville area collection comes this extremely attractive Ruger Red Label 20 gauge. Manufacturer was Sturm, Ruger, and Co., Southport, CT Plant. from its 400-13000 range serial number, it was manufactured in 1980, fourth year of production from a run that ended in 2014. Construction is entirely steel metal with American Walnut stock and forend, with factory recoil pad. Chambering is 20 gauge, 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch shells interchangeably. Barrels are 26 inches, fixed choke with .598 Modified Upper Barrel and .605 Improved Cylinder lower. Sight system is 8 post, .331 serrated top Ventilated Rib with brass bead front. Mechanism is split ejection, single selective trigger, with recoil transfer. The safety button serves as selector, with O and U markings. Trigger is .310 smooth faced, pulls single stage at a crisp 4 1/2 pounds with minimal felt creep and overtravel. Stock drop is 1 1/2 by 2 3/8 with a slight 1/2 inch right hand cast. Lenght of pull is 14 3/16 from the trigger face to the end of the black lined 1/2 inch factory red recoil pad. Weight empty is 7 pounds 3 ounces, centered at the chambers. Finish is polished surface blued with stainless trigger and satin finish figured walnut. Receiver only was reblued by Mr. Frank Elliot of Humboldt, TN, probably due to palm contact wear. Lettering is faintly weakened. Surface detractions are minimal. We classify this Red Label as Excellent Condition, partial refinish, 90 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bores and chambers are bright and clean. We estimate this shotgun was fired fewer than 2000 times, with field loads. We’re offering this superb Red Label 20 for only $ 1259.00.
