This listing is for the exact ring in the photos. From an estate in nearby Shelby County, Memphis Area, Dcomes this traditional 7 diamond ladies’ cluster ring. Marker’s mark is stamped inside, six leg star or asterisk, one of the many Star Jewelers throughout the United States. We estimate it was manufactured in the late 1980s to early 1990s. Construction is 14 Karat Yellow Gold Shank, with 8 prongs that support a white gold set mounting. Each diamond is well bordered and secure in the raised set. Center diamond measures 4.3mm, or .28 Carat; and each of the 8 surrounding stones are 2.5mm, or .06 Carat each. Total Diamond Weight, then, is 3/4 Carat. Diamond clarity and color are good, small amounts of carbon on 10X Magnification and faint coloration. Ring size is 8 1/4, up from an original 7, with well sized tapered shank. Gross weight is 4.3 grams. Since jewelry stores commonly price 14 Karat Mountings from $100 to $150 per gram; and mounted diamonds this size $800 to $1200 per carat, this ring would retail in a store for $1000 or more. We’re offering it, however, for only $ 359.00. We are pawnbrokers licensed by the State of Tennessee and by the United States Treasury Dept. since 1968. We do not deal in any new jewelry.
