Type is hammer fired traditional double and single action, double stacked, blowback semi automatic pistol. Construction is Steel barrel, slide, levers, trigger, hammer, screws, internal parts, and magazine body, assembled into an alloy frame, with alloy floorplate and polymer cartridge follower. Caliber chambering is .380 ACP. Barrel is 3 3/4 inch one piece, with six groove right hand 1:10 rifling. Slide fully encloses the barrel, except for the ejection port, with chrome steel full length guide rod, integral bushing, and lateral serrations forward of the safety lever. Sights are half moon round slide integral front, with dovetailed black notch rear. Main safety is ambidextrous lever decocker; the BDA380 also has a firing pin safety and a magazine safety. It will NOT fire single shot with no magazine in battery. Trigger is .332 serrated face, pulls two stage on double action, 11 pound vicinity with 1 1/4 inch of travel. Single action is two stage 5/8 inch travel, 5 pound vicinity pull with minimal felt creep and overtravel. Magazine is factory Beretta 13 rounder, so 13 + 1 round fully loaded capacity. Magazine release is easily reversed for left handed shooters. Grips are black gloss FN Polymer with finger swells and checkered lower surfaces. Overall length is 6 3/4 inches by 5 inches height. Slide thickness is 1 inch at the port. Weight empty is 23 1/2 ounces, centered at the breech face. Finish is polished surface blued steel, and gloss black anodized alloy. Surface detractions are minimal, only faint amounts of edge wear. We rate this pistol and its mates as Excellent, 90 percent vicinity, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to check our grading. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. We estimate these guns were fired fewer than 500 rounds each. The BDA-380 was manufactured only from 1980 until 1998.
